Original aluWaterWalk elements are chained to provide smooth and solid floor (ground) for wading into the water. Descending into the water is safer thanks to optional side lighting and handrails. Excellent for any age group. Great satisfaction for senior people and others with diminished motor skills. Wheelchair users love it as it enables easy access down to the waterfront and beyond. Kids love the runway into the water !

This water walkway of aluminun frame and stone or concrete paver block cladding can be installed on almost any beach. Best installed on beach which allows the frame to sink an inch / a few centimeters into the ground. For example sandy or slightly muddy beaches with or without vegetation.

Pleasing Ground Under Feet

The feature you most appreciate is the nice feeling under your feet as you move towards the water. Solid and smooth ground is very reassuring and more agreeable than almost any natural beach – including sand.

Paving keeps the passage to water clear as it prevents vegetation growth from below. You get unhindered access through the vegetation into the water. This is an excellent solution to a beach with excessive vegetation. It avoids the pain of repetitive cutting and is more environmentally friendly than dredging.

In addition, reeds and other growth will act as a natural hindrance to visibility to any neighbors. The vegetation on either side can be left to its natural state. Reeds swaying in the wind and the fauna can be a source of enjoyment for anyone on the water walkway.

Enhanced Safety

Lighting option will create ‘runway lights’ for kids and safety lights for others. Strip lighting can be installed on both sides or on just one side.

ECOaurora works without electricity as it is charged from daylight. In clear water it operates even at depths of 1.5 meters / 5 feet.

For stronger illumination we offer AuroraLED linear lighting. LED strip is protected by aluminum housing.

Non-Slippery Surface

Open a difficult beach to recreational use.

aluWaterWalk units are covered with cut stone paver blocks or concerete paver blocks. For natural stone the suggesterd surface is hammered, chiselled, flamed, or other rough surface. Concrete paver blocks come with a variety of surfaces. Tips: Preferred are blocks with small gravel on top as they usually offer the most friction when wet. And light colored submerged blocks are more visible than dark ones. – Paving material is best sourced locally.

aluWaterWalk of standard width can be connected to other aluGarden products. aluStairs and aluWalk are the most obvious candidates.

Walkway into the water prevents erosion in the shoreline. aluWaterWalk is an excellent solution in places which need to be preserved as intact as possible and yet allow people the pleasure of refreshing themselves in the water. Shallow water vegetation and underwater features have much increased chances of longterm survival. Even under relatively high visitor load.

Visual impact of aluWaterWalk water walkways is very low. Underwater walkway does not create a distraction or spoil a scenery of exceptional beauty.

Minimal Maintenance

Enjoy the sunset.

Minimal cleaning and maintenace work is needed. In warm waters periodic brushing with a floor brush or a broom will keep the surface non-slippery. More coarse block surface is easier to clean than a smooth surface. Waves may deposit debris and it may have to be removed manually.

In subzero temperatures water will freeze. Common floating walkways need to be removed from water to avoid damage by moving ice. Not so with our water walkway. There is no need to pull it ashore each fall and reverse the process each spring. aluWaterWalk is very much unaffected by longitunal ice movement but may suffer from ice movement from either side. Therefore, it should be installed in a location which is minimally affected by massive ice formations from either side.

aluWaterWalk water walkway is manufactured from custom aluminum profiles of highest quality. Strong structural aluminum is double coated for maximum corrosion resistance and beauty. Expected corrosion resistance will exceed 30 to 50 years in seawater and in industrial climate. In fresh water and in unpolluted countryside a minimum resistance of 50 to 90 years is to be expected.

Double coating makes the surface easier to clean. The surface color is shiny grey, quite like grey metallic paint on a car.
